Kayoko is a hands-on creative director with more than 16 years of experience at major publications, such as GQ, EsquireGolf For Women, and Essence. She has redesigned and reformatted numerous print and tablet magazines as consulting art/design director, and led them to win awards, such as Pearl Award Gold (2012) for both Time Inc. Custom Publishing's NYSE Magazine and American Express Publishing's Renaissance Hotel MagazineR.24, and most recently she received LA Press Club's Gold (2016) in Magazine Design category for Frontiers Magazine

Kayoko evaluates audiences and brands, and executes contents from concept to finish. She is overseeing editorial and custom content, as well as marketing, branding for DTLA Book and District 8 Media's creative direction.

Shana has over ten years experience in advertising sales with premier national and regional publications including National Geographic Traveler, Wall Street Journal, Saver, The Knot, Texas Monthly, Atlanta, and Los Angeles Magazine. She has held the West Coast National Account Director position for Emmis for over three years working with consumer product brands, such as Cadillac, Lexus, Trina Turk, Athleta, Virgin America, and Korean Airlines to name a few. Her work extended to several custom publications; among them, Pasadena Official Visitors Guide, and Visit Anaheim

Previously, Shana served as a senior manager in the hospitality and distribution software companies— Shangri-La Hotels, Micros-Fidelio, and Expedia.

She is overseeing hotel distribution, advertorial and ad sales for DTLA Book  and District 8 Media's PR, event, and marketing efforts.
